Every morning

Hey you player, don’t cry in shame
We all are the same

Every morning we wake
We put a mask on our faces, a fake

One plays a teacher; one a wanderer
One plays as a singer; one becomes a song seller

The old mask of life remains on our faces until the late hours
And the silent hidden tears flow underneath like always

peer out of your mask for once
don’t speak words made in advance

Break free from the cocoon, the shell
Draw a window on the bars of the cell

we are who we are only for a glance
even for a breath If given a chance

For how long our masks are to speak the role?
For how long the silence is the ploy?

peer out of your mask for once
don’t speak words made in advance

Break free from the cocoon, the shell
draw a window on the bars of the cell

I want to shout out this song on the scene
I want to tear off my mask and shout like the real me which I've never been .

This is amazing. This poem says all I ever want to say to people. Masks seem to be taking over this so called free world. But people wont step out from behind them, and show the real them because they fear. If we face our fears, it will make us stronger. I could go on forever ranting, but I will stop for now:)

Is it alright if I post this on my blog for my friends to see? I will give you the credit, and give them a link to come to your site:)

That's a BEAUTIFUL poem ... and so true!! I agree with Ashley - it is fear which makes us put on these masks and hesitate to let anyone peek behind to see the REAL us! I wish we could all be much more honest to one another without having all those worries and concerns ... but sadly enough, I am afraid, that is nothing but wishful thinking!
Thanks so much for sharing that!!
May I invite you to my blog? It'll be great if you'd come by for a visit ...!!

Nevermind if song or poem ... I like it a lot!! I just looked again through your blog .. it's beautiful! I love as well the pictures you posted!
You're right, it were not bad at all were we able to drop our guard and simply be honest to one another ... I sure would appreciate that! Great, blogworld doesn't know boarders, visas, restrictions, vetoes ect .. at least THAT! We have such a beautiful planet .. look what hatred, dishonesty and ignorance are doing to it! It's OUR stupidity ... it's such a shame!
Come again to visit ... you're always MOST WELCOME!

Mask! Ha? I wish all the people would let the real face out, but some only want you to wear it! So they can justify their positions among the rest of them on veil. I wish I could speak to their fear.

m.reza, you are right! I guess it's a lot of people who feel they need that mask out of fear - or shame! I'd MUCH prefere as well to be able to adress the REAL them ... no mask, no hiding, no need for all that! Just honesty - and understanding!

m.reza,
Apparently hiding behind a mask is something common in the grown ups world.
On the other hand, imagine if some throw their masks away, showing us their real faces we may get scared like hell.
In our case … yes, we wear masks to oblige the family & the society since they expect us to.
I'd much rather throw it away; anyway I consider politeness a mask which I usually wear to prevent offending people.

Othersideblue ... politeness, of course, no question - but telling the truth .. politely and diplomatically! That is very important to me .. I HATE lying, it makes me disrespect myself! I need to be able to call a spade a spade - I must be honest! Of course I would never hurt anyone ... that's the baseline!
